Youth Arts Festival Kicks Off in Reykjavík

The youth arts festival Unglist, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, begins in Reykjavík today and will run through November 12 with various events scheduled to take place around the capital.

According to the website of youth culture center Hitt húsid, to celebrate the anniversary, some of the gems from past festivals feature in the program.

The festival will open with an underwater concert by Neo Geo, who first performed at Unglist in 1998-2000, at the Sundhöllin swimming pool at 8:30 tonight.

Other events include a concert of electronic music at Bakkus tonight at 10 pm, a fashion show by the clothing industry department of the Reykjavík Technical College at the Laugardalslaug swimming pool tomorrow at 8 pm and a visual art marathon at Hitt húsid on Monday between 9 am and 5 pm.
