This week eight new performance groups began working on the program “H2 – Creative Summer Groups” along with the Street Performance Theater at Hitt húsid, a youth culture and information center in Reykjavík.
First they will practice and organize their acts for the summer and then they will perform in various places in downtown Reykjavík. “So keep your eyes and ears open, because you might be in for an unexpected rendezvous with the goddess of art,” a Hitt húsid press release states.
Three of these eight groups will have performances related to music, one group is preparing a dance performance and the remaining four are organizing multi-artistic events. Many of the participants are students of the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
