A young boy was injured in the Reykjavík Family Park and Zoo on Tuesday. He was walking beside the motorized train which rides through the park when his right foot got stuck under one of the carriages and was dragged a few meters before it came to a stop.

He suffered on open wound to his angle but no bone fractures. A skin transplant may be necessary, ruv.is reports.
The Administration of Occupational Safety and Health in Iceland was called out because of the accident and has completed its investigation, concluding that the train was in order and no remarks were made regarding its usage.
The Reykjavík Family Park and Zoo released a statement, saying that they the police and an ambulance had also been called out because of the accident. The work methods of the park’s employees will be reviewed.
