Wu-Tang Clan Close Secret Solstice Festival

The second annual Secret Solstice outdoor music festival in Laugardalur valley, Reykjavík, came to an end with a concert by veteran rappers Wu-Tang Clan in fair weather yesterday. Approximately 10,000 people attended the festival, of whom 2,500 came from abroad.

Other performers included Charles Bradley, The Wailers, Kelis and Icelandic electronic band GusGus. In between acts, festival guests could take a dip in an on-site hot tub. Another special feature was and a rave party held inside a cave in the recently-opened ice tunnel in Langjökull glacier on Saturday.

According to mbl.is, the atmosphere in Laugardalur was great when Wu-Tang Clan took the stage last night, at the height of the summer solstice. A big crowd had formed in front of the stage and people were singing along to most songs.

The festival, which will continue to be held at the brightest time of year, began on Friday.
