An Icelandic soldier in the US Marines has received a purple heart for injuries sustained in the Iraq war.
Cesar Arnar Sanchez, whose father was American, was wounded on February 9th while on patrol in Iraq. He has been discharged from a US hospital and will return to Iceland within the next few weeks, reports RUV.
