It is an event designed to empower and inspire women to succeed in both their personal and professional lives and support charities that empower and support women and girls in Iceland, a press release states.
“We are coming to Iceland to inspire women but more importantly, to learn from the women of Iceland as they lead the world when it comes to women’s rights and true gender equality,” states Kisha Mays, founder of the Women Empowering Women Symposium and CEO of Just Fearless.
Guest panelist speakers include Hafdís Jónsdóttir, CEO of Laugar Spa and president of the Icelandic Association of Women Entrepreneurs; Rúna Magnúsdóttir, founder and CEO of Connected-Women.com; Guðrún Jónsdóttir, Spokesperson for Stígamót; Minister of Education, Science, and Culture Katrín Jakobsdóttir; Helga Guðrún Jónasdóttir, president of the Icelandic Women’s Rights Association; and Kristín Ástgeirsdóttir, director of the Centre for Gender Equality.
