Herdís Albertsdóttir from Ísafjördur in Iceland’s Westfjords has lived in the same house for 99 years, which may be a world record. She was born in Sundastraeti 33 in November 1908 and has never lived anywhere else.
According to Bladid, a man in England, who has lived in the same house for 96 years, was believed to hold the world record, but Albertsdóttir has lived in her house longer.
Albertsdóttir is healthy; she has only once been admitted to hospital. Last winter she had to stay at the hospital in Ísafjördur for some time, and hospital staff believes she is the oldest patient to be released from the hospital.
