The body of a woman was found in the harbor in central Reykjavík yesterday. According to Chief Constable Friðrik Smári Björgvinsson at the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The woman has been identified and the investigation of her death is ongoing. The police will not release any other information at this point, mbl.is reports.
According to mbl.is, an employee at the harbor noticed the body near the Customs Building, where the Kolaportið flea market is located, yesterday morning, and called the emergency hotline 112.
