“Ever since I was a little boy this was the main league and I dreamt of playing in it. Now I finally get the opportunity and I want to take advantage of it to firmly place myself [in the league],” Eggert told Morgunblaðið reports.

In other sport news, Icelandic wrestler Gunnar Nelson will fight in mixed martial arts (MMA) in the Cage Contender competition in Dublin, Ireland, on February 25. His opponent will be announced later and the fight will be the evening’s main event.
