Winter Stays Around

The first day of summer may have been on April 21, but winter still sticks around, unwilling to leave just yet.

The residents of North Iceland woke up to white mountains this morning.

Northwesterly winds of 10-18 meters per second are forecast for today. Sleet or snow in the north and considerable precipitation in the northwest, but isolated showers or snow showers in the south. Winds will gradually decrease in the north this afternoon and evening.

Tomorrow: Northeasterly winds of 8-15 meters per second and some snow showers in the northwest, but rain or sleet in the east tomorrow night. Temperatures of 0-10˚ C, warmest in the southeast.
