A winter concert series continues at the home of the singer-songwriters Uni and Jón Tryggvi at Merkigil in Eyrarbakki, south Iceland, with a performance by the blues band Lame Dudes on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the band Náttfari and Hellvar are heading north, performing at the gallery Populus Tremula in Akureyri on Friday and Gamli Baukur in Húsavík on Saturday, Morgunblaðið reports.
Húsavík natives, Ljótu hálfvitarnir, have arisen from their one and a half years slumber and are planning concerts at Rósenberg in Reykjavík in early March.
