A new adventure park will open in the Gufunes district of the Reykjavík suburb of Grafarvogur in September, part of which is dedicated to the Wild West. The adventure park is designed with diverse entertainment for adults in mind.
Robb Wilson King, who has designed decors for more than 50 Hollywood movies designed the Wild West town for Grafarvogur where people will be able to play paintball, Fréttabladid reports.
The man behind the new adventure park is entrepreneur Eythór Gudjónsson, who currently runs the paintball area in Straumsvík in Hafnarfjördur. He said that although the park will mainly be for adults, activities for children may be added in the future.
Gudjónsson believes his park will be popular both among residents in the capital region and among tourists for whom there are not enough activities on offer, he said.
Other decors will also be built in the new adventure park in Grafarvogur, like around a par 3 golf course. But Gudjónsson did not want to reveal too much about the nature of the park just yet.
