What’s On in Reykjavík Is Singing the Blues

The March 2008 issue of What’s On in Reykjavík has arrived with a theme dedicated to the Reykjavík Blues Festival, slated for its fourth time March 18 to 21.

Various international acts will perform at the Reykjavík Blues Festival, including the Yardbirds, Magic Slim and Deitra Farr, along with established Icelandic musicians like The Blue Ice Band, Björgvin Gíslason and Ellen Kristjánsdóttir.

The festival will take place at the Hilton Reykjavík Nordica and at Rúbin in Öskjuhlíd, near Perlan restaurant.

In addition to the blues festival, What’s On also includes an article about the popular Settlement Exhibition “Reykjavík 871±2” on Adalstraeti, downtown Reykjavík, about the oldest human relics found in Iceland’s capital.

As always, What’s On provides thorough information on what to do in the capital region in terms of culture, entertainment, wining and dining, and in this issue two popular restaurants in Reykjavík are given special coverage.
