According to Frettabladid, Icelandic Online is launching a new website to teach Icelandic to foreigners. The hang-up: the web-site is in Icelandic.
Said course director Kolbrun Fridriksdóttir: “We teach in the language you’re supposed to learn… English is not the only language in the world.”
Other websites have stepped up efforts to help foreigners in the study of Icelandic as well. The University of Iceland introduced more English language options on their website, www.hi.is, this semester.
