Formula Off-road driver Guðbjörn Grímsson told mbl.is that he made a world record driving on water when he hydroplaned his 1600 HP special vehicle on a river in Iceland.
He drove 305 meters (1,001 ft.) on the river at 87 km/h (57 mph). It was the first official speed measured in such an attempt.
More than 491,000 people have viewed the video since it was posted on YouTube on May 17.
