Watching the Sun – Then and Now

For the first time in more than 60 years Icelanders saw a total eclipse of the sun this morning. Watching the sun is fun, but dangerous. Watching other people watch is even more fun. We saw these people at Sólfar or the Sun Voyager in Reykjavík this morning.

The black and white photo is from Ytri-Tjarnir in Eyjafjörður on July 1, 1954.
