Warning: Swelling Rivers in South and Southeast

The Icelandic Met Office has issued a warning for the South and Southeast, that’s in effect today through Sunday. Heavy precipitation is forecast in these areas. Expect the swelling of rivers around Mýrdalsjökull glacier and in areas of southeast Iceland, all the way east of Höfn. River crossings may become impassable. The Met Office asks travelers in these areas to proceed with utmost care. For an updated weather forecast, please go to vedur.is.
