Reykjavík health authorities have issued a warning against swimming at Skeljanes and at Nauthólsvík in Reykjavík today due to maintenance at the Skeljanes pumping station. A similar warning was issued last week.

The warning is due to a risk for fecal bacteria contamination, as stated on the City of Reykjavík website.
Sea swimming has increased in popularity in Iceland in recent years.
