Vueling will fly from Barcelona to Iceland during the night with departures from Keflavík at 8 am on Tuesdays and Fridays from June 20 to September 17, mbl.is reports.

The airline flies to 100 destinations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

As reported earlier this month, projections are for around 15,500 passengers to pass through the airport each day during the peak season, June through August.

The number of airlines operating during winter has also increased from three to six since last winter.
