Vilborg Reaches Kilimanjaro’s Peak

By Iceland Review

Icelandic adventurer Vilborg Arna Gissurardóttir reached the peak of Kilimanjaro along with her traveling partners around 7 am this morning, mbl.is reports. At 5,895 meters, Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain.

Vilborg is attempting to climb each of the seven continent’s highest peaks within a period of one year, from May 2013 to May 2014. Next and last on her list is Everest, which she aims to climb in May.

Last year, Vilborg became the first Icelander to walk solo to the South Pole.
