Icelandic adventurer Vilborg Arna Gissurardóttir reached the peak of the highest mountain in Antarctica, Vinson Massif, on Christmas Eve, ruv.is reports.

Vilborg is attempting to climb each of the seven continent’s highest peaks within a period of one year, from May 2013 to May 2014. She has already reached the highest peaks of North America, Europe and Oceania. Next on her list is Aconcagua in Argentina and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. She aims to climb Everest in May.
Earlier this year, Vilborg became the first Icelander to walk solo to the South Pole.
