There were just six votes between the winning party and the last-placed party in the municipal elections in Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland, on Saturday, Fréttablaðið reports.
Three political parties ran in this year’s elections in Seyðisfjörður: the Independence Party, the Seyðisfjörður Party and the Progressive Party.
The Independence Party received 144 votes, the Seyðisfjörður Party 142 and the Progressive Party 138 votes.
