By Iceland Review

Morgunbladid reports that the current session of US – Iceland defense negotiations that have been ongoing in Reykjavík may have come to an end when a meeting of the two countries’ delegations concluded around 6 pm local time.

The head of the Icelandic delegation, Albert Jónsson, told Morgunbladid that the meeting would not be continued tomorrow as had been expected. He refused to comment further and said he was on his way to brief Prime Minister Geir H. Haarde.
