Icelandic designer Unnur Fridriksdóttir recently released her new collection of bags and belts under her own label Unnurwear. The new collection features oversized clutches, soft totes and belts in different widths.
Fridriksdóttir’s bags are made from fish leather. The fish used in the current collections is farm-grown Icelandic salmon and farm-grown African perch.
“I’m really proud of my roots and I have tried to use as much Icelandic material in my designs as possible, both in clothing items and accessories, which have been very well received,” the designer told icelandreview.com.
Fridriksdóttir also recently opened her online store at unnur.com and to celebrate the launch of her webstore, she is offering all bags and belts at a 20 percent discount until December 24.
Unnurwear also features limited edition Swarovski clad tees, donating 50 percent of proceeds to Habitat for Humanity.
