University of Iceland Partners with Chinese University

The University of Iceland and Tsinghua University in Beijing recently signed a partnership agreement when Kristin Ingólfsdóttir, director of the University of Iceland, visited the Chinese capital.

As the University of Iceland’s website states, the partnership will open the door to new possibilities for student and teacher exchanges as well as more collaboration on research projects.

Tsinguha was best known as a technical university but has gradually extended its programs on offer and research areas. The university hopes for close collaboration in the fields of natural sciences, literature, gender studies and pharmaceutical studies.

Tsinghua University was founded in 1911, the same year as the University of Iceland.
