Unemployment has been on the decline in Iceland and the country now has the sixth lowest unemployment rate within the EEA.

The unemployment rate measured 6.0 percent in May, down by 1.6 percent from the same time last year, compared with an 11.1 percent average among European countries and 10.3 percent among European Union member states, ruv.is reports.
