Unemployment in Iceland Stagnant at 3.9 Percent

Unemployment in Iceland in July remained at 3.9 percent with 61 fewer individuals registered as unemployed than in June.

The number of unemployed men dropped by 161, while the number of unemployed women increased by 100. On average 3.2 percent of men are unemployed and 4.7 percent of women, according to the latest figures from Iceland’s Directorate of Labor.

As reported last month, the unemployment rate in Iceland is the lowest since November 2008.
