Uncertainty Level due to Glacial Flood Lifted

The level of uncertainty issued by the Civil Protection Department of the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police last week because of a glacial outburst flood in the river Múlakvísl, which originates in Mýrdalsjökull glacier, has been lifted.

Conductivity levels have returned to normal, ruv.is reports.

People are encouraged to continue to exercise caution in the area due to toxic gases still emerging from the flood water.

The flood is believed to have started on July 2.
