This morning at 7:09, an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 hit the western part of Katla volcano, located under Mýrdalsjökull glacier, according to the Icelandic Met Office. Last night at 18:39, another quake of magnitude 3.7 hit the south part of Bárðarbunga volcano.
Those two followed a series of tremors south of Þingvallavatn lake yesterday around noon, the largest of which was of magnitude 3.8.
