According to information from the Sudurnes police department, the investigation is in the initial stages. The men’s potential relations with accomplices in Iceland or abroad, the reason for their trip and their criminal histories are being investigated, Morgunbladid reports.

Police believe the men, who were arriving from Warsaw, will try to leave the country unless they remain in custody. Considering the amount of drugs they were carrying, almost 6,000 ecstasy tablets, they might be facing up to 12 years of imprisonment if convicted.
