Two Icelandic women around 20-years-old were released from prison in London this week after a judge ruled that they had, in their innocence, been tricked while living in a foreign country and fallen into bad company.

The two women have been in prison since July 2009 for participating in an armed robbery. According to Morgunbladid, they both confessed to their part in the crime in the court room on Wednesday.
The Daily Mail describes on its website how the women seduced a young man who they had met at a bar a few days earlier and convinced him to come home with them.
In their apartment, eight armed men were waiting. They took the man’s money and jewelry, stole his car and then left him tied-up in a vacant building.
The women were both given a sentence of 18 months but were released earlier because of the aforementioned reasons. The judge concluded that their experience shows how an exciting, international and vibrant city like London can also prove dangerous.
