Two earthquakes measuring M3.7 and M4.0 were measured at the Bárðarbunga caldera on Thursday afternoon at 4 PM, mbl.is reports. These quakes occurred in a week during which Iceland’s seismic network detected 420 earthquakes, which is down from the 520 quakes that were measured the week before.
A few earthquakes of similar magnitude have been measured at Bárðarbunga this year: on March 22, the caldera experienced quakes of M4.3 and at the end of January, there was one measuring M4.9.
