Turner is planning to market LazyTown, which produces children’s television series encouraging a healthy lifestyle for its youngest audiences, as well as develop the online LazyTown world, an international clothing and toys line, as stated in a press release.

The concept’s creator, Magnús Scheving, will remain the CEO of LazyTown within the Turner conglomerate and will continue to play the lead on the show, Sportacus. The production of a new series begins in Iceland early next year.

Turner’s investment is worth more than ISK 2.5 billion (USD 21 million, EUR 15 million) and is estimated to create up to 100 new jobs in the Icelandic film industry.
