In the jury’s words, “This outstanding series is based on an exceptional male character, supported by a fantastic cast, set in a stunning landscape, also fighting the forces of nature.”

Trapped was mostly filmed in Siglufjörður, North Iceland. The main roles are acted by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir and Ingvar Sigurðsson. The series was produced by Baltasar Kormákur and Viðar Sigurðsson at RVK Studios.
