Rescue workers from Vík í Mýrdal, South Iceland, were called out this afternoon to assist a foreign woman who was trapped in a landslide by Reynisfjara beach, just east of Reynisdrangar, RÚV reports.
A statement from ICE-SAR says that reaching the woman was difficult, since it required climbing rocks. Three rescue workers reached her and were able to move her to safety just now with the use of lines. She was trapped at a height of 70 m (230 feet).
