Tourists Discharged from Intensive Care after Car Accident

Two tourists who were transported to Landspítali National University Hospital by helicopter after landing in a car accident between Hvolsvöllur and Seljalandsfoss, South Iceland, on Saturday afternoon have now been discharged from intensive care, Vísir reports.

The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it rolling off the road, according to Sveinn Kristján Rúnarsson chief superintendent at the South Iceland police.

A section of the national highway was temporarily closed as a result of the accident.
