Tourist Photographs Alleged Ghosts in Iceland

Stuart Peacock, an American lawyer who stayed in Iceland during Christmas with his family, took pictures in a cemetery on Christmas Day and noticed afterwards that there were strange, fog-like phenomena in one of the photographs.

“The picture was taken at night on Christmas Day in the cemetery on Sudurgata [in Reykjavík]. I took many pictures but this is the only one where you can see this fog or veil,” Peacock told Fréttabladid.

“We didn’t go to the cemetery to look for ghosts but to look at the beautiful candles. We didn’t see any fog or veils but when I looked at the picture in my camera I noticed it,” Peacock said.

“Of course you cannot say anything for sure about such things, but several convincing arguments from real soul research associations around the world say that this is in fact a photograph of a ‘ghost’ or a deceased,” said Magnús Skarphédinsson, chairman of the Reykjavík Soul Research Association (Sálarrannsóknarfélagid).
