Sky Sports reported on Thursday that London football club Tottenham Hotspurs made an agreement with AC Monaco to borrow Icelandic football player Eidur Smári Gudjohnsen for the remainder of this season.

According to earlier news, Gudjohnsen was headed for West Ham, a different London club, but then he chose Tottenham over West Ham, mbl.is reports.
Gudjohnsen only spent five months with Monaco, where he arrived from Barcelona in the end of August. He played 11 games with the team with poor personal results.
It is possible that Gudjohnsen will play his first game with Tottenham today, when the London club visits Birmingham in the Premier League.
Gudjohnson is now back to familiar territory. Before leaving for Barcelona he played with Chelsea, another London club, for six years.
