Strætó, the capital area bus company, has launched a new service: a map of Reykjavík and the suburbs showing where buses are in real-time.
This is the latest step the company has taken to improve the service and accuracy of buses covering the capital area.

The next step, according to the director of the Strætó Reynir Jónsson, is to develop a mobile app so customers can view live on their smart phones when the next bus will arrive.
For now, you can access this information on the web on your computer or mobile phone.
Before next summer, monitors showing the exact location of every bus in service will be placed at the busiest stops and terminals.
