Tilda Swinton Selects Films for ATP Iceland

Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton will attend the festival All Tomorrow’s Parties which takes place at the old NATO base Ásbrú by Keflavík, Southwest Iceland, this weekend. Swinton specifically requested to pick films to be screened at the festival.

Swinton opted for: the romantic 1945 film I Know Where I’m Going! by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger; animated fantasy film My Neighbour Totoro by Hayao Miyazaki from 1988; Charles Laughton’s 1955 thriller The Night Of The Hunter; and comedy To Be Or Not To Be by Ernst Lubitsch from 1942, visir.is reports.

The four films will be screened at the old military base theater on Saturday. Tomorrow, there will be screening of films picked by U.S. director Jim Jarmusch, among them 1965 Italian/French sci-fi film The 10th Victim by Elio Petri.

However, ATP Iceland is primarily a music festival, headlined by Australian musician Nick Cave and his band The Bad Seeds, whose concert is scheduled for Saturday.
