Three men were arrested last night, suspected of having raped a 17-year-old girl in a private home in the capital region. The victim reported the rape to police early yesterday morning and has now charged the men for the crime.
The girl described the course of events that led to the alleged rape and said she was able to remember the license plate number of the vehicle the men were driving, Fréttabladid reports.
Shortly afterwards police were able to locate the vehicle in question and the three men inside matched the girl’s description. The men were arrested and questioned. Last night police demanded they be taken to custody.
