Three Icelandic Performers at The Great Escape

At this year’s The Great Escape showcase festival, May 12-14 in Brighton, the UK, Iceland will be represented by musicians Lára Rúnars and Ólöf Arnalds and the band Retro Stefson who will perform during the festival.

The Great Escape was first held in 2006 and has the goal of promoting up-and-coming musicians alongside an eponymous conference, a press release explains.

Other performers at this year’s festival are DJ Shadow, Sufjan Stevens, Friendly Fires, Okkervil River and the Guillemots. More than 300 bands will appear at the festival, which will be attended by approximately 15,000 visitors.
