Three people were killed in two separate road accidents occurring within a short time of each other yesterday. This is reported in all the main media.
A young woman was killed when a SUV and larger jeep collided head-on in Kjalarnes, just north of Reykjavík, yesterday. The cause of the accident is unclear. A few hours later, two men were killed in a head-on collision on Reykjanesbraut, the road connecting Keflavík airport and the capital, when a van collided with a family vehicle. Speeding is believed to have been the cause of that accident.
