Publisher Kristján B Jónasson told visir.is, “Eggert is not well known in the U.S. but the deal will change that. It will provide him with a new audience, who would not otherwise see his work.”

There are currently 175 Anthropology stores in the U.S.

Eggert Pétursson (born 1956) is best known for his paintings of the Icelandic flora. They appear to be abstract at a distance but up close, the paintings are hyper-realistic.
