A 90-minute computer animated cartoon about Thor the God of Thunder, produced by Icelandic company Caoz, is scheduled to be premiered in 2010.
The idea behind this comical adventure movie was born in 2003 and Caoz began its production in 2005, as Morgunbladid reports.
According to CEO of Caoz Hilmar Sigurdsson the cartoon is estimated to cost ISK 1.4 billion (EUR 16 million, USD 21 million) and he expects about 120 people to work on its production.
Most animators are Icelandic, but Sigurdsson said foreign labor will also be required. He added the computer animation market is huge, so he expects his cartoon to be profitable.
