The World through Ash Mist (Photos)

Yesterday Reykjavík was covered by a mist caused by volcanic ash. The mist formed a huge circle around the sun. An eerie atmosphere lay over the city and people who went outside felt uncomfortable, because of a foul smell. Some had problems breathing, especially people with colds, allergies or lung problems.

However, if you did go out the lighting was so unusual, that normal surrounding looked dreamlike. We show you a few photos from one of our staff Dagbjört Matthíasdóttir. Click on imagies to enlarge.
