This morning, the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police arrested a man accused of driving a motocross bike under the influence of narcotics, which upon arrest were found on his person. According to Vísir , before police caught up to him, the man had attempted to flee on the bike. While on the run, the suspect drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk in Reykjavík’s city centre, creating considerable danger for pedestrians.
Shortly afterwards, despite ditching the bike and hiding in the vicinity, he was apprehended and taken into police custody.
