Members of the Left Green Party proposed a gradual reduction in pre-school fees yesterday in parliament. The proposal called for the government, over time, to eventually cover the costs of pre-school.
The proposal was met by boos from members of the Independence Party.
The Minister of Social Affairs, who belongs to the Progressive Party, said that it’s not the priority of the government to fund pre-school.
