Because of the heavy snow in recent weeks, delivering mail can be a particularly difficult—dangerous, even.

Íslandspóstur, the Icelandic postal service, asks people to shovel their pathways, and break the icicles hanging overhead to ease the postman’s job, visir.is reports.
