The Most Red-Headed Icelander Chosen at Irish Days in Akranes

Seventeen year old Laufey Heiða Reynisdóttir was chosen the Most Red-Headed Icelander of 2015, at the annual Irish Days festival in Akranes last weekend.

Laufey Heiða, who hails from Hólmavík, a village in the West Fjords, was rewarded for her long, and intensely red, mane, with a trip for two to Ireland with travel agency Gaman Ferðir.

Seven year old Vigdís Birna was named the Most Promising Red-Headed Icelander, winning her a gift card from the bank Íslandsbanki worth ISK 10,000 (USD 75/ EUR 70).
